Whistleblower: Feds Spy on Parents Who Defy School Boards

BUCK: Are there elements within the FBI targeting parents for intelligence collection for speaking out at school board meetings? It’s kind of a crazy question to say out loud, and also a really important one at the same time. Welcome back to the Clay and Buck show. We’ve been on this story from the very beginning. We’ve been trying to make sure everyone hears about the kind of things that are going on, the targeting, the memo that came out from Merrick Garland’s office, the clear shot across the bow of parents.

So in public, they basically said, “We’re looking to gather together law enforcement resources because of the Mom Rebellion at school board meetings where they were saying, ‘Hey, can you stop brainwashing my kids with CRT garbage?'” That was something the attorney general of the United States weighed in on. Now we find out… Well, first off let’s remember what he said under oath back on the 1st of October. Here’s Merrick Garland, AG.

GARLAND: I can’t imagine any circumstance in which the Patriot Act would be used in the circumstances of parents complaining about their children, nor can I imagine a circumstance where they would be labeled as domestic terrorism.

BUCK: Clay, that’s so weird because in my hands I have a letter from Congressman Jim Jordan — friend of the show, of course — writing and saying to Merrick Garland that we have, quote, “received a disclosure from a Department of Justice whistleblower calling into question the accuracy and completeness of your testimony.” It goes on to talk about FBI personnel having “a threat tag” created by the counterterrorism and criminal divisions specifically to track the threat of “insurrectionist parents” at school board meetings. A protected — legally protected — whistleblower coming forward — a patriot, by the way — from within the FBI. This is crazy. But it’s real.

CLAY: Yeah, and, Buck, I really want to know how extensive is this FBI investigation into parents, so we are in the process of putting in a Freedom of Information Act request on behalf of me because I was one of those parents who showed up at one of those school board meetings. Has the FBI been investigating me for domestic terrorism because I don’t think my kids should wear masks? (chuckles) I don’t know what might be out there, but on behalf of the show we’re gonna see what’s out there.

BUCK: I just gotta tell you, it had been a whistleblower, Clay, ’cause when you’re talking about CTD, counterterrorism division stuff, all of that will be outside the scope of a FOIA, really —

CLAY: Oh, okay. Yeah.

BUCK: — because they’re gonna say it’s classified. So that’s why you had to have a whistleblower. But someone should put in the FOIA because we should say, “Hey, is there any other government agency? Is there any government communication? Is anyone else…?”

CLAY: And how wild is this? This is through-the-looking-glass level crazy, Buck, that they would be investigating parents who showed up at school board meetings to advocate against critical race theory or against masks or in favor of their kids being able to be in school? This is next level madness. It really is.

BUCK: And why is it so important to the Democrats, to the Democrat apparatus, to the power center of the Democrat Party to do something like this that, Clay, obviously could have enormous backlash and ramifications that comes from it? Why? Because they need people to shut up, sit down, and let the education bureaucracy be run by lunatic leftists and get all the teachers union donations flowing to Democrats, get all the get-out-the-vote efforts from the unions to Democrats, and to brainwash all your kids in school into being leftists as they grow up and start voting. So this is why they’re willing to take these kinds of risks.
